technical product info rivi finished terrazzo tabletops are provided pre-finished and sealed. cc conditioner should be applied prior to first use and routinely applied. rivi can be mechanically or adhesive- fixed to a table base. table base should include 3/4” plywood and/or 1/4” steel plate substrate for the top. if using plywood, it is recommended to include some steel ribbing for rigidity. the substrate should extend to within 4”-6” of table edge. due to the inherent nature of concrete and natural aggregates, no two tables are exactly alike, they will exhibit variations in tone, aggregate size and distribution. it is a feature of the material.

rivi finished terrazzo tabletops come in a range of modern terrazzo mixes and shapes to suit any table base. polished and sealed to be heat and spill resistant for interior or exterior use. each tabletop is carefully crafted using concrete collaborative terrazzo to make the perfect statement.

1. the top tabletops are provided pre-finished and sealed. cc conditioner should be applied prior to first use and routinely applied. tabletop is through-body concrete. tabletop edges are eased and finished. back of tabletop is unfinished. variation in aggregate is expected. 2. handling + storage rivi tabletops will arrive in custom-made a-frames, wrapped in plastic to protect in transit. inspect consignment carefully upon delivery. notify the manufacturer of any shipping damage or concerns immediately. do not install any material of concern. installed material is considered accepted. handle top with care. rivi tops kept in original packaging is the best method for storage prior to base application. store rivi a-frame indoors or cover to protect from elements and construction site damage. rivi top should acclimate to the final environment for 48hrs. 3. table base application table base should include 3/4” plywood and/or 1/4” steel plate substrate for the top. if using plywood, it is recommended to include some steel ribbing for rigidity. the substrate should extend to within 4” of table edge.

any cantilevers greater than 4” to be fully supported. table tops need to be fully supported on table base. standard stone epoxy or silicone to bond to plywood or steel. table tops are not pre-drilled; can be drilled and anchored to base. 4. care + maintenance wipe up spills immediately with water and non-acidic cleaner. give immediate attention to acidic liquids like lemon juice. apply cc conditioner to maintain longevity of surface. frequency of maintenance depends on traffic and use. concrete tops are made of naturally occurring raw materials and much like natural stone patina with age. 5. future rejuvenation should water or liquid no longer bead-up on the surface, additional sealer may need to be applied. reapply sealer per sealer manufacturer’s recommendations using a sealed dampened microfiber towel. prosoco polishguard is our recommended sealer and can be purchased directly through concrete collaborative. wet-scrub table with an orbital hand sander using warm water and htc twister pad white. work in sections and be diligent in removing dirty water before drying. apply 2-3 thin coats of polishguard sealer or (owner’s preferred sealer) following manufacturer’s instructions.
